Madingley Hall, a stunning venue for a summer wedding, located 2 miles west of Cambridge.
An amazing building, with fantastic gardens and grounds, only a short distance from Cambridge, that is what’s on offer if you choose Madingley Hall as your wedding venue. Unfortunately for Lisa and Jamie, the weather was not great on their special day, but that didn’t matter, everyone still enjoyed a beautiful wedding. As a wedding photographer, I really like photographing at Madingley Hall: although the ceremony room is panelled in dark wood, the natural light coming through the bay window is lovely and soft on the bride and groom, and with the fireplace in the background, it looks very grand.
Lisa and Jamie were keen to go outside to get some photos in the grounds of the hall, so with the aid of umbrellas, we ventured outside and took some great images. I led them over to the secret garden, where the canopies are covered in shrubbery and vine, and although it was still raining, we were well protected.
The speeches followed the wedding breakfast, then guests mingled and got ready for the evening party and arrival of more friends and family. The couple also hired our photo booth, and although this was not supposed to start until the evening, we started it up early, giving the guests a little fun during the afternoon. Congratulations Lisa and Jamie, thank you for choosing me for your special day!
